Our 8″ cast iron kadai is designed to be a daily cooking and frying companion. The curved interior side is machine finished to promote the easy release of cooked food. The bottom is just flat enough for it to be induction compatible. It is intentionally kept heavy for even heat retention and distribution. Like all dynamic pans, the entire kadai is pre-seasoned with cold-pressed organic cooking oil to give a naturally non-stick effect.
Ideal for deep fry, stir fry, saute, bake, broil, and braise of all meats and vegetables.
Never boil water or fry high acidic foods in kadai. It will cause the seasoning to flake off.
Nothing to worry even if the seasoning has flaked off, continue to use the kadai as normal and the seasoning will develop over-time.

USE & CARE
BEFORE FIRST USE
METHOD A: WITH ONION:
1) Wipe the pan with wet cloth or paper towel.
2) Immediately dry the pan completely with a dry cloth.
3) Apply a thin layer of cooking oil throughout the pan. (Both front and back)
4) Chop one big onion into small pieces and keep it aside.
5) Heat the pan in low-medium flame and add enough oil to deep fry the onion.
6) Fry the onion till it turns golden brown colour spreading throughout the pan.
7) Turn off the heat and allow the pan to cool naturally, leaving the onion spread over the pan.
8) After the pan cools completely discard the onion, now pan it is ready to be used.
METHOD B: WITHOUT ONION:
1) Wipe the pan with wet cloth or paper towel.
2) Immediately dry the pan completely with a dry cloth.
3) Apply a thin layer of cooking oil throughout the pan. (Both front and back).
4) Heat the pan in low-medium flame until it starts to smoke, immediately turn off the flame.
5) Allow the pan to cool naturally.
CARE AFTER USE
1) After use, allow the pan to cool naturally
2) Wipe the leftovers in the pan with a dry cloth or paper towel.
3) Apply thin layer of oil throughout the pan (Both front and back)
4) Store it in a moisture free area.
It is not recommended to wash the pan after every use. But if required, follow the steps from the “Care after washing” section to wash the pan aptly.
CARE AFTER WASHING
NOTE: Never leave the pan in a wet environment
1) Wash pan with mild soap and drinking water.
2) Immediately dry completely using dry cloth and apply thin layer of cooking oil all around the pan. (Both front and back)
3) Store the pan in a dry place.
